The Ethernet expansion card has a dual-channel integrated Gigabit Ethernet controller capable of
connecting to 10/100/1000-Mbps networks through an Ethernet switch module, or other supported I/O modules,
on the SBCE unit. Communication signals are routed from the blade server through the I/O expansion connectors
on the expansion card to I/O-module bay 3 and bay 4 in the SBCE unit.
Intel GB Ethernet Card for the SBX82
This is a dual channel Ethernet LAN adapter that provides two independent Gb Ethernet connections to switches in
switch module bays 3 or 4. Requires that an Ethernet switch be installed in either switch bay 3 and/or bay 4. This small
form factor I/O card is only supported on the SBX82 blade and SBESCSI. The advantage of this card is that the SBX82 can
support 2 SCSI HDDs and this card simultaneously.
